One day, she’ll stand taller than the sunflowers, but today, she runs amongst them, soaking in the summer sun and absorbing the magic of the fairy-tale flowers. There are some parts of motherhood I wish I could bottle up. One day, you’ll miss this version of them. Some seasons of motherhood feel endless. For the parents who’ve told me, ‘My children will never sit still for photos’ …please know that I don’t actually want them to sit still! Goodbye Lavender …. Okay it’s mid-August and I’m not the first one to mention pumpkins. These girls will grow. They’ll change. Summers will come and go, and one day they’ll probably look back at photographs like these and barely remember the little details. This sweet mama and daughter came for a Sunflower Session with me. Tomorrow I have a mummy-daughter day with my own little girl. Should we go to the sunflowers again or a woodland walk? Both are so beautiful in summer!
